The best ways to get past this and start strong on all your sessions are life coach tips that I was lucky enough to get early on in my … [Read more...]

Your Coaching Practice: The Power Of Free Sessions

September 29, 2010 by Jeffrey T. Sooey 1 Comment

Your coaching practice can't help but grow like Starbucks grew crazy out of control with the power of the free session. If you're not practicing coaching through complementary sessions, you're being stupid and it's because you're afraid you really don't shake-up your clients' lives in powerful ways that'll free them from their 5 by 8 jail cell. If you believed in your own ability to coach you wouldn't allow your most precious source of new clients to rot right on the vine. Complementary … [Read more...]

Life Coaching Career Lessons From A Blind Boy

September 26, 2010 by Jeffrey T. Sooey 1 Comment

I challenge you to see any similarities in your life coaching career and this story.  A blind boy was sitting against a building on a busy city street.  He held up a sign that said, “I’m blind, please help.”  In an upside down hat between his feet some people had thrown a few coins.  A man came up to him and asked if he could take his sign for a moment, and used the back side to create a new message.  Soon the hat began to fill up as people read the sign as they walked by.  When the man came … [Read more...]

September 25, 2010 by Jeffrey T. Sooey 5 Comments

Can being in a state of poverty really help your life coaching business?  Although it seems counter-intuitive, we all know pain is very motivating.  In fact, one of my good friends says that where you have struggled most in your own life becomes your area of genius.  Why not look at poverty as a great opportunity?
