Dorine Kramer has recently returned from India where she was capturing tigers for……. Just kidding–she does love to travel, though, and has taken many journeys of discovery over the years. After graduating with honors from UCLA, Dorine earned her medical degree from UC Irvine. Frustrated as a family practitioner because she could not spend enough time with each patient, she left clinical medicine and became a research epidemiologist with a particular interest in women’s and children’s health. She trained and worked in the renowned Epidemic Intelligence Service at the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Georgia, and then lived and worked in London, England, first as a consultant epidemiologist for the International Planned Parenthood Federation, and later as an independent consultant for the World Health Organization. Returning to California after six years in London, Dorine became a dedicated stay-at-home mom for her two children.
Then, in 2005, with both children grown and out of the house, she fell victim to the dreaded empty nest, and shortly thereafter discovered the antidote in the professions of coaching and hypnosis. Now having been trained and certified by JTS Advisors in both strategy and accountability coaching, as well as becoming a certified hypnotherapist through the International Hypnosis Federation, Dorine has coached a wide range of clients on goals relating to health and wellness, relationships, finances and personal development and accountability. In addition to one on one coaching and hypnosis, she currently uses her hypno-coaching techniques as the teacher of a weight loss and wellness group, and enjoys speaking and teaching. Her passion is motivating clients to take action to reach their goals, and helping them to find joy and success in their lives through developing and honoring their integrity and sense of self-worth.
Dorine lives in Los Angeles with her husband and thankfully, near her children. She is a published author and is currently working on a lifestyle program for newly diagnosed diabetics and a book for empty nesters. When she is not coaching or writing, Dorine loves to go to the theater, gather with family and friends, play chamber music on violin and piano, read fantasy novels, cook, and of course, travel.
