There is a tipping point in your life coaching business where you work long hours and don’t see anything happening, and then all of a sudden everything falls into place and you’re enjoying all the benefits of your hard work.  At that point, you finally start earning a decent life coaching salary.  Most people never get past that point in their life coaching business, however.  For one reason or another, they get discouraged and give up.  Often right before they get the life coaching salary they were looking for.

Life Coaching Salary Can Push You to the Edge

If you look at this objectively, how can you blame them?  You can work hard for months before you even start earning enough of a life coaching salary to justify your existence as a coach.  Your life coaching business seems to take over your whole life and every aspect of your free time.  You start to wonder what you might do if you had a job with set hours, and a steady check.

What Can You Do When Your Life Coaching Business Feels Hopeless?

Instead of having a great lifestyle, you work all the time for a life coaching salary that isn’t going to cover your library book fines.  Your family and friends think you’re nuts.  It’s hard to see the forest for the trees, because you’re lost.  You think about quitting the life coaching business and taking a job.  Then the sad truth revels itself and you realize you can’t work for anyone else because you drank the Kool-Aid.  You can never go back.  So what can you do?

• Option #1: Cry to your mentor.  While it seems like the best answer at first, unless you have a great mentor, it will only make things worse.  It’s not going to help your life coaching business or your life coaching salary.
• Option #2: Quit the life coaching business.  This is the most common choice, but what if you are really at that tipping point?  What if you are on the verge of finally making it and earning a great life coaching salary?  You’ll never know, and that alone is enough to make you try the third option.
• Option #3: Put your nose to the grindstone and don’t look up.  Make it happen.

A Life Coaching Business Requires the Same Perseverance as Life Coaching Does

In order to have a chance at earning a decent life coaching salary, you have to continue to work through this challenging point.  To become a coach with a successful life coaching business, most people have to grow so much that it would be simpler to sign up for a frontal lobotomy.  To avoid getting discouraged, look back to see how far you have come instead of trying to figure out much further you need to travel.  Enjoy the journey, and the view from the top will be all the sweeter.
