The biggest reason life coaches don’t get the salaries they deserve is that they don’t understand how to get a raise in the coaching business.  It’s actually contrary to what makes sense.  You don’t get paid to coach.  Sure your clients pay you, but when you focus on coaching as “work” you fool yourself into believing you have actually accomplished something at the end of the day.  Let’s face it, you would and probably have coached for free.  Your reward is the privilege of making a difference in someone’s life.  That is what you signed up for, isn’t’ it?

The Real Work in the Life Coaching Business is What You Don’t Want to Do

Hence, the reason it is called “work.”  If you want to have more clients you need to do something to get them.  Whatever your current strategy is, if you want to take your life coaching salary to the next level you are going to have to do something new; something that you don’t already do on a regular basis.  Something that you might not even really want to do, but you know you should.  What’s the definition of insanity?  Continuing to do what you already do and expecting a different result.  The key is to get out of your comfort zone and do the real work you need to do to expand your business.  Once you have this mindset, your life coaching salaries will begin to improve drastically.
