April 25, 2019 by Margaret K. Olubiyi Leave a Comment

The Coaches Training Institute (CTI) is an ICF accredited coaching training program and one of the most well-known accredited programs in the industry. It is known to be the largest and oldest in-person coach training school in the world.

ICF Accredited Coaching Training Program: Coaches Training Institute

Coaches Training Institute (CTI): Who Are They

The Coaches Training Institute was founded in 1992 by Laura Whitworth, and Karen and Henry Kimsey-House. The organization currently maintains its headquarters in the San Francisco Bay Area. CTI is the first training organization to be accredited by the International Coach Federation. Also, in collaboration with Thomas Leonard, the founders of CTI founders were primarily responsible for the establishment of the International Coach Federation (ICF) and assisted with the creation of its ethics and competencies.

CTI Accredited Coaching Training Program

The Coaches Training Institute is known for its prestigious program; the Co-Active Coach training program. After completion of the program, coaches receive the Certified Professional Co-Active Coach designation (CPCC).

(NOTE: If you’ve been asking questions about ICF Certification lately, then you need to attend this webinar, called “ICF Credentialing & Coach Certification”. During the webinar, I’ll cover how you can gain an ICF Credential in a matter of months. Click HERE now to attend the webinar.)

It is commended as the “Gold Standard” by the Instituting of Coaching, a Harvard Medical School affiliate.

The Co-Active Coaching Model

Co-Active Coaching is an invaluable experience of both personal and professional development. One of the cornerstones of the co-active model is it focuses on the whole person, and it allows coaches to work with whatever topic their client choose. As an ICF accredited co-active coach, your job is to ask compelling questions, listen and empower to elicit the skills and creativity a client already possesses, rather than give advice.

Coaches Training Institute (CTI): An Industry Leader

CTI’s accomplishments below have proven themselves as a critical leader in the coaching industry.

  • Over the last 25 years, CTI has trained over 55,000 co-active coaches worldwide and presently, trains more new coaches each year than any other training program.
  • The founders wrote co-Active coaching, the most popular book on coaching and is now in its third edition. They have sold over 100,000 copies, and it has been published in more than ten languages worldwide.
  • It is the first organization accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF).
  • CTI has trained professionals from varied backgrounds than any other coach training
Organization today. Some of these professionals include educators, scientists, community leaders, therapists, etc.

Coaches Training Institute: Program Information

The Co-Active Coaching Training Program is approximately a 12-month program, consisting of five in-person experiential workshops and is followed by a six-month virtual certification program. The five core courses take six months on average, and the Certification Program requires an additional six months. CTI’s Co-Active Coaching Training Program integrates three foundational principles that assist the coaching client in enhancing both the quality and results they experience in life and work. The entire process takes approximately one year and costs roughly $10,000-12,000 depending on how the program is completed. Upon successful completion of program requirements, coaches become certified as a professional Co-Active Coach (CPCC).

An ICF accredited coaching training program from CTI is worth looking keenly into. Why? Because the organization offers in-depth quality training and possesses an impressive reputation in the coaching industry. CTI has designed a flexible coaching model that works, and with a certification from them, you are well on your way to becoming successful and a sought-after coach.
