Wake up an hour earlier, or go to bed an hour later.  Unplug the television.  Minimize distractions such as the phone or email, and make blocks of time in your schedule when you can focus on your coaching business.  And of course, you can always listen to CD’s while you’re getting ready for work, going to the gym, or eating.

There is no substitute for good coach training where you learn and practice skills, get feedback on your performance, and immerse yourself in an environment that will help you grow to the next level.  But while you are saving money for that day there are books, videos, and CD’s you can learn from.  Really broke?  Check out the resources from your local public library.  Of course it’s easier when you are committed to a program, but the question is really about what you are able to do now.

Get a coach, find a mentor, and get involved with an empowering peer group.  Mastermind groups are also very helpful, since they can hold people accountable to their goals and support each other by providing resources.
