How Much Does Money Coach Training Cost?

September 7, 2016 by Fred Phillips 1 Comment

If you are thinking of becoming a financial or money coach, you will definitely need money coach training. Though you can certainly begin coaching without any formal training and you can call yourself a coach without any certifications, money coaching training is virtually essential to your success as a coach.

Coaches Need to be Trained and Certified

No, it is not a legal or professional requirement to be trained and certified. There are no federal, state, or local rules requiring a coach to have any specific training or any paper on the wall attesting to specific educational achievements.

Coaches need excellent listening and communication skills, a passion for helping others, and a strong work ethic. Money coaches are need to have an understanding of and a passion for financial issues. But, as the coaching industry matures and grows, the competition will be fierce. Those who are not sufficiently trained will fall by the wayside.

All coaches need training, and all money coaches should pursue the best money coach training they can afford.

More Money Doesn’t Mean Better Training

Of course, more cost doesn’t always equal better training. The proper due diligence should always be done before paying for and starting any coach training program. Money coach training is like any other coach training – there are many factors that go into quality training.

  • Is the training targeted to finances?
  • Does the training meet your needs – scheduling, online, mentor coaching, etc.?
  • Does the training fit your budget – you don’t want to get into a financial hole when learning to be a money coach.
  • Does the training have a good reputation?
  • Is the training comprehensive? Does it cover money coaching, coaching in general, and how to operate a coaching business?

Money Coach Training Moves Your Career to a New Level

Money coaching is a relatively new profession with a tremendous upside. A money coach can help a client transform their relationship with money, and improve their financial habits and health.

Money coaching is ideal for life coaches who want to transition to a different segment of the industry. It is also perfect for financial consultants, business advisors, and others who want to turn their knowledge into a dynamic career in coaching. Money coaching combines tested and successful coaching techniques with practical financial guidance – it offers individuals and companies the opportunity to change their emotions and behavior with money.

So – How Much Does Coach Training Cost?

Money coach training is similar to any coach training – the cost can vary depending on the program. You can find weekend training for under $100, but this may not be the best bet for someone who wants to have a deeper understanding of coaching principles. Plenty of programs offer prices on either side of $500, while you can reasonably expect to pay between $1,000 and $2,000 for a comprehensive program.

There really is no average amount for quality coach training. You shouldn’t just select the cheapest one, but you also don’t need to break the bank when you sign up for a coach training program.
