Design the Life You Want With a Career Life Coach

A career Life Coach exists to excel you toward a career that is thriving and a life you are excited to wake up to everyday. Your career is your stability for survival and a reflection of your individual talents. The extra effort and attention created by working with a career life coach is enough to transform your life experience. It might be time to think about what a career life coach could mean for you.

Where to Start With a Career Life Coach When You’re Confused About Your Career

The first thing a career life coach will do in a one on one session is focus on guiding you to define your priorities and values. Once you have created clarity on what is important to you at your core, you work with your career life coach to discover your strengths and weaknesses. This is important because when you align yourself with your unique values and discover what prominent strengths are unique to you and your personality, your life takes on a new motivation and effectiveness. Your values are at the core of who you are. When you align your actions and focus you discover that life starts to become the wind beneath your wings, versus the storm that keeps you staring out the window hoping for a sunny day. Passion and motivation begins with looking at your life from a deeper perspective and this is where your coach is most valuable.

Create a Career That Moves You Without Defining You

A career life coach will help you to align your career with your life purpose. I often start by asking my clients the necessary questions to help them discover what their life purpose may be. When you are feeling lost in your career and desire to move out of the dark hole of unmotivated nothingness look to your spirit for guidance. You know more then you think you know. You should define the quality of your life and choose a career that aligns with your deep connection to your space on this earth. Allowing your career to define you is a dark and lonely place. Open your mind, heart and actions to become drenched in the energies and experiences that light you up. A career life coach will strategize with you to honor these spirit needs and hold you accountable to taking consistent action along these lines.

Lower Your Career Stress and Manage Your Time

Not everyone is on a search for a new career. Some of us go to a career life coach to gain tools to diminish stress within the careers that fuel us. Others seek out the space career life coaching provides to better manage time and productivity. Your coach can become the eyes and ears you are missing in aiding you to see the bigger picture and create balance.

If you are confused about your career, a life coach looking for a niche you can contribute to or want to better yourself in the career you have. Schedule a consultation with a career life coach and try it for you, most first sessions are FREE! No excuses.

    Hi Jeannine,

Your post is great food for thought, even if one postpones choosing a coach. Most of us do not take time to define our values and priorities, or to assess our strengths and weaknesses. You have almost convinced me that it would be worthwhile to have a carer coach. It is something I have put off for a long time, because I tend to be a do-it-yourselfer.

I used to be a management consultant back in the day when few people called themselves life coaches. My “consulting” style actually resembled modern day coaching, and I definitely saw some dramatic improvements in the lives and businesses of some of my clients. I think that one of the primary benefits comes from being a catalyst. Just by being there and causing the client to take time out to think about some of the issues you described, you enable the client to figure out what they could have but wouldn’t.

    Hey Buddy,

You are definitely on to something. I feel that accountability is the key in my clients taking action too. That space every week that allows them to focus inward and create is powerful. It makes you realize how often we go on autopilot and stop actively designing our lives.
