Were Addicted Can You Help us Coach?
Addictions are hard to beat alone and us coaches are trained to help you. Life Coaches often work with clients experiencing addictions such as

When you have someone checking in with you and looking checking in on your results, change is inevitable. A life coach will work with you to understand the emotional needs you are meeting with your addiction and meet those needs in a healthier way. Can You Help us Figure Out What We Want To Do?
- I hate my job
- I lost my job
- I don’t know what to do with my life
- I have no passion
- I used to love my job, but I’ve grown out of it

- None of my interviews are going very well

You would be surprised to find that most people never take time to think about what they really want. They do not set goals. Have you ever thought about what success means to you? The actual word succeed reveals the answer in itself. In order to succeed you have to have taken action of some kind and get a positive result. So in order to experience success you must first set a goal, taken action on it and achieve it. These simple concepts are often overlooked. Next time you ask “How can a life coach help us get the job of our dreams?” try asking, “How valuable would an hour each week with someone trained in listening and guiding me to discover my limiting beliefs and destructive patterns get me the job of my dreams.”

Hi Jeffery
Thanks for this info, well now i understand what a life coach is. I always hear about it bur never take the time to explore it. After I read your post I know that I don’t need one but I just mite be able to become one.
Regards
Theuns
Very interesting … I spent nearly a decade coaching entrepreneurs and have been away from it for about a year and a half now. I’ve been thinking about going back into it in a limited way, but keep finding reasons not to – it’s not procrastination because I know exactly WHY i’m stalling. I enjoyed helping people – a LOT – what I did not enjoy was watching people ignore advice and end up crashing and burning. A friend of mine who’s a life coach keeps telling me the key is to just separate yourself from it because a lot of people are looking for the quick fix. I know that – problem is I end up caring too much and stressing myself out over it. Not sure I really want to open myself to that again.
Thank you Jeffery for clearing up just exactly what a Life Coach is! So many people get confused about this. Being a coach is a responsibility. A coach is like a therapist and must follow certain guidelines. One is not to get too close to a client.
I like the way you describe that some people don’t know what they want and also have no goals. As a coach one must be ready beforehand to ask these questions to their clients. Then once you finally get that done, use different methods to get them to their goals.
Great Job!

Jeaninne,
This was a great article I was going to allow me to view later. WOW! Well done.
I love the way you capture the true spirit of supporting others no matter what they needed hands on approach for. It is felt and will be remembered each day as I listen to others and find resources for their life to be better in all areas of growth and prosperity.
This is my passionate and you just edified it. Thanks for all the years of being on of our great coaches in this inidustry.
I Live in Italy and in my country life and business coaching are still seen as something new as as such is seen as ” weird”;)),
When people ask me what I do instead of using the word coaching which for Italians is an english word I say to them ” I help successful business owners get out of the trap of their success and savour life”.
This opens doors, they are curious and ask.
Working with cravings and addictions has been and still is my passion not only becuae I used to smoke and eat chocolate but also because I just love seeing how our minds associate love to external stuff that do not serve us really.
Letting go of a ” toxic” habit is the biggest gift one can give to oneself.
It’s about offering others the freedom to choose thelife they want to create!
Thanks for this post, enjoyed it as always;)

“Were Addicted Can You Help us Coach?” Should be “We’re Addicted Can You Help us Coach?”
nero linguistic programming should be neuro linguistic programming (Nero was a Roman Emperor!)
And the title should be “Can you help us, Coach?” NOT “Can you help us coach?”
As it is written, without the comma and the direct address, it means, “Can you help us to do coaching?” Which, of course, is a completely different question and is actually what your whole blog is about , but not this guest post.
Great explanation of what coaches do and how they can help people. As we all know, most people will spend more time planning their annual vacation than they will planning their lives.
