The key to success is to show up to practice every day until the day of the big game.  What does that look like?  It looks like weight lifting, which is not nearly as fun as getting out on the court.  The coaching career and life coaching business weights are completing the tasks that look unimportant.  While you are waiting to be in the right place at the right time keep showing up on time, following through with your word and commitments, and being committed until you get the result.
