How Stress Coaching Can Help Heal the World

December 7, 2016 by Fred Phillips 1 Comment

Is stress coaching really a thing? Is there a niche in the coaching profession for stress coaches? Though coaching often deals with stress as part of a coaching session or program, it can be overlooked or under-stressed (pun intended).

Why You Should Consider Stress Coaching?

In a national Stress in America survey conducted by Harris Interactive for the American Psychological Association, 39% of Americans polled felt more stress this year than the previous year, and 44% felt that their stress had increased over the past five years. It was also reported that 53% of those polled reported receiving little or no support from their health care providers concerning stress reduction or management.

A study by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) showed that one in four employees viewed stress in the workplace as the number one stressor in life, and three in four employees feel that workers have more stress now than a generation ago. Whether because of work or relationships or just the complexities and hassles of life in general, people are feeling stressed.

Americans are feeling stressed and there is a need for professional help in reducing and managing stress. There is a need for outcomes when it comes to stress. There is a need for stress coaching.

Stress is Stressful

  • Stress is the cause of numerous diseases and afflictions.
  • Chronic stress can lead to depression, anxiety, and rage.
  • Long-term stress can lead to cardiovascular problems, including heart attack.
  • Stress can cause loss of libido.
  • Stress can negatively impact relationships – both personal and professional.
  • Failure to manage stress can lead to an unfulfilled and unhappy life.
  • Failure to keep stress in check causes both physical and mental illness.

How a Stress Coach Can Help Heal the World

Millions of Americans and people around the globe feel overwhelmed, anxious, burned out, depressed, or just plain stressed out. These are your people! This is your target market! It’s a big target market and one that desperately needs the outcomes you can offer.

Do you want to help people learn stress management techniques and assist them in creating lives with less stress? Do you want to help people maximize their happiness, contentment, spirituality, and productivity? Do you want to help people improve the physical and mental health?

You can do this with stress coaching. You can help heal the world when you become a stress coach. You can also help yourself – coaching is both personally satisfying and financially rewarding.

Coach Stress and Create Happy, Healthy, Productive Humans

As a stress coach, you will provide your clients with the knowledge to recognize stress, the tools to manage it, and the skills to create an action plan to reduce it and perhaps even capitalize on it. You will help them to learn that stress isn’t a constant that has to be endured, rather it is a variable that can be eliminated at times and managed at other times.

Stress coaching is a niche filed with a large target market. That market is seeking outcomes so they can live happier, healthier, and more productive lives. That market can be yours when you become a stress coach.
