Life coach articles can be found everywhere.  Many life coaches will write on their blogs or submit to their articles to article sites to help their life coaching businesses.  The best life coaching articles cover specific topics and techniques.  Currently, this blog has 780 articles posted, and about 5-10 are known as the ‘favorites’.

Using Life Coach Articles to Market Your Coaching Business

Life coach articles can help you get coaching clients.  They help in two major ways:

• They get traffic to your coaching website.
• They increase your ‘expert status’ and credibility.

The trick to getting more traffic to your coaching website is to balance the quality and quantity of the articles.  If you create crappy articles, you’re not going to get much business or traffic to your website, however if you don’t create at least one new unique article per day, you’ll never produce enough content to be seen in the search engines.  Your goal is to write 1 or more quality articles per day (of about 450 or more words).  Don’t worry about writing an article that is too long, as long as the content you’re adding is good stuff.

The Best Articles Are Specific

One common misconception about life coach articles is that they should just meander around and cover musings about life and spirituality.  Those are usually the worst performing articles.

Write articles covering specific topics, specific problems, specific techniques, and specific solutions.  That will attract a customer that really wants your help in solving a problem and actually gets measurable value from reading your article.  Now you’ve got some credibility and they’ll probably opt-in on your mailing list to keep in touch (possibly becoming a coaching client someday).

Here’s an example:

Don’t write an article about ‘How to Achieve Peak Performance in Life’.

Write an articles about ‘How to Increase Your Bench-press by 20 Pounds in One Week’

See how specific I got?  I’m talking about the specific area of performance (weight-lifting), the specific achievement (bench-press increases by 20 pounds), and the specific amount of time it will take to achieve it (one week).
