Several coach training providers around the world today currently offer the ICF PCC certification. The professional certified coach’s credential is one of three designations conferred on an individual by the International Coach Federation. There are typically two credentials most often pursued from the ICF – the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and the Professional Certified Coach (PCC).

Who is The International Coach Federation?

The International Coach Federation (ICF) is a reputable nonprofit organization dedicated to the coaching profession. The ICF Coach Credential Paths – PCC Requirements

The PCC is the second level of the ICF credential with three application paths to choose from. They are:

1). The PCC ACTP Path

• Completion of an entire ICF Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP). Check for your program’s approval below.

• A minimum of 500 hours (450 paid.) of coaching experience with at least 25 clients following the start of your coach-specific training. At least 50 of these hours must occur within the 18 months prior to submitting the application for the credential.

• Completion of the Coach Knowledge Assessment (CKA).

• Pricing: ICF Members $300, Non-ICF Members $500.

2). The PCC ACSTH Path

• At least 125 hours of coach-specific training through an ACTP or ACSTH program. Check for your program’s approval below.

• 10 hours of Mentor Coaching over a minimum of three months to be documented on your online application. Your Mentor Coach must be a PCC or MCC in good standing.

• A minimum of 500 hours (450 paid.) of coaching experience with at least 25 clients following the start of your coach-specific training. At least 50 of these hours must occur within the 18 months prior to submitting the application for the credential.

• Performance evaluation (two audio recordings and written transcripts of coaching sessions to be uploaded with your application).

• Completion of the Coach Knowledge Assessment (CKA).

• Pricing: ICF Members $575, Non-ICF Members $775

3). The PCC Portfolio Path

• At least 125 hours of coach-specific training with robust documentation. You will be required to demonstrate you have completed a comprehensive training program that includes the ICF definition of coaching, Code of Ethics and Core competencies and is organized in a scope and sequence that encourages your growth as a coach.

• 10 hours of Mentor Coaching over a minimum of three months to be documented on your online application. Your Mentor Coach must be a PCC or MCC in good standing.

• A minimum of 500 hours (450 paid.) of coaching experience with at least 25 clients following the start of your coach-specific training. At the minimum 50 of these hours must occur within the 18 months prior to submitting the application for the credential.

• Performance evaluation (two audio recordings and written transcripts of coaching sessions to be uploaded with your application).

• Completion of the Coach Knowledge Assessment (CKA).

• Pricing: ICF Members $675, Non-ICF Members $875
