And you often get sent to someone’s blog. So wouldn’t you like some tips on how to get Google to send prospective clients to your blog?

Getting Life Coaching Business Referrals From Google

If you want to build your coaching career into a thriving life coaching business, Google can help. Explore the Google keywords tool and use it to figure out what keywords people are searching in your niche or in the subjects you like to coach. The best keywords are the ones that people are searching on and for which they can’t find many results. If you write a blog on one of those topics, it is likely to show up on the front page of Google’s listings. Make a list of all the relevant keywords and use one keyword or keyword phrase for each article. The search engines love this, and it will help them find your articles. The idea is to get as close to the top of the first page of Google as you can, because that’s what people will find easily when they search for those keywords, and it will call attention to what you are offering in your life coaching business.

Search Engine Optimization

When you start learning about the internet, you start hearing the term SEO. What it’s referring to is how you get Google or any search engine to find and categorize what you’ve written. To keep your life coaching business afloat you need a steady stream of clients, and you can draw clients to you by giving them good information and a sense of who you are through your blog. You want your articles to be frequent, every day if you can manage it, or a minimum of 2 or 3 days a week. You also want them to be accessible when someone looks for information on whatever topics you’ve written about. To help make that happen, follow these guidelines for blog-writing:

1) Include the keywords in your article title.
2) Make the title short (55 characters or less) and sexy.
3) Use the keywords in the first sentence of the first paragraph.
4) Use the keywords once for every hundred words in the article.
5) Use each keyword separately in some other form once in the article.
6) Have at least 3 paragraphs, 2 subheadings, and minimum 300 words.

Blogging is sometimes fun, sometimes a chore. But start doing it if you aren’t already, because it is a tool that over time will bring you the clients you want to build your life coaching business.
