February 26, 2020 by Margaret K. Olubiyi Leave a Comment

The Board-Certified Coach exam questions typically consist of 100 multiple choice questions, and it covers six competency areas. According to the Center For Credentialing & Education, the BCC Exam is administered as part of the certification process that independently verifies a candidate’s coaching knowledge.

Board Certified Coach Exam Questions: The CCE

The CCE & The BCC Credential

The Center for Credentialing & Education (CCE) is a not-for-profit organization established in 1995 as an affiliate of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) and considered to be one of the most globally recognized credentialing organizations.

The Board-Certified Coach (BCC) credential is awarded to individuals who have met professional coaching competency standards established by CCE and subject matter experts.

The BCC certification demonstrates to the public that an experienced coach has:

• Met educational and training requirements

• Passed a psychometrically sound coach-specific examination

• Obtained experience in the field of coaching

• Professional peer references

• Accountability to an enforceable ethics code

• Commitment to ongoing education

The BCC credential is attractive to professionals who would like to provide independent third-party verification that they have achieved certain coaching competency standards.

Credentialing Requirements For Degree Holders in The United States

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field (sealed official transcript from the educational institution).

• Training: Completion of a minimum of 30 hours of professional coach training from a CCE-approved coach training provider.

• Experience: 2,500 hours of post-degree coaching experience over a period of five years or more working with individuals, groups or organizations. Experience form completed by a professional coach, supervisor or colleague.
