Become a Life Coach Who Helps People Find Time to Achieve Their Goals: Training That Will Dramatically Affect Your Life Coach Salary

June 18, 2009 by Jeffrey T. Sooey 2 Comments

If you become a life coach who knows how to address the issue of time or lack thereof, then you can start commanding a significant life coach salary.  Many times people always say, “I don’t have enough time to fill-in-the-blank.”  Whatever the blank is when people ask the question in this way they decrease the likelihood of solving the problem, because the problem is NOT time.  It’s like having a flat tire.  The car won’t drive because the tire is flat but instead of repairing the tire you work with the starter.  Working on the starter not going to solve the problem.  If you don’t help people address the real issue, you become a life coach who is average, with an average life coach salary to match.

Become a Life Coach Who Understands the Problem

Become a life coach who understands the problem and you will be worth your life coach salary.  We keep calling “time” the problem, but what is “time” really?  What are we really complaining about when we talk about “time”?

Become a life coach who recognizes that “time” is an emotion.  When someone says they don’t have time or time is dominating their life, time is affecting them emotionally.  Even the dictionary’s definition of time is usually self referential.  Webster defines time as “a definition of time.”  So what do the coaches who command a great life coach salary offer as a solution?

Become a Life Coach Who Knows Time is an Emotion

If you become a life coach who can help their clients from Feeling Frustrated to Focused on Fortunes and your sessions will warrant a significant life coach salary.  To do this you must transform your clients’ mindsets by following these steps:

  1. The client who is feeling frustrated by time values comfort more than making the most of their time.  Help these clients focus on getting the most out of their life by stepping outside their comfort zone.
  2. The client who says they don’t have enough time often has a mindset that their circumstances are in control, rather than believing they can manage their circumstances.
  3. Another trait of people who feel frustrated over their lack of available time is that they focus on “to do” lists.  Encourage these clients to focus on results and relationships.  Help them take their focus off getting things done (which is a never ending process) and onto creating the results they want to see in their life.
  4. People who struggle with time as an emotion, often have an “I’ll try and see” attitude.  Help your clients make the shift to an attitude of “I’ll make it happen and do whatever it takes.”
  5. People who are feeling frustrated over “time” have short-term thinking.  They focus on instant gratification, and do what makes them feel good.  People who are Focused on Fortunes have long-term thinking.  They give themselves a pat on the back when they achieve a result, and in doing so take pride in their accomplishments along the way to their success.

Your Life Coach Salary Will be Limitless When You Empower Your Clients

Become a life coach who can help people shift their mindset to a more empowered stance.  Have your clients become aware of how their mindset affects their life, and offer empowering alternatives to help them change their not only their outcomes, but their enjoyment of the process.  When you can free up someone’s time so they can live the life they dream of, you can write your own life coach salary check.
