What Does VIP Mental Health and Life Coaching Offer?

October 26, 2015 by Fred Phillips 2 Comments

VIP Mental Health and Life Coaching seems to be a coaching practice that bridges the gap between therapy and life coaching. VIP Mental Health and Life Coaching offers clinical services, consultations, workshops, and education in Florida and Arizona.

Who They Help

They work with a whole range of clinical issues, including personality disorders, adjustment difficulties, adult attachment issues, compulsive behavior, and emotional management. They also work on skills more associated with life coaching, including interpersonal communication, relationships, social skills, self-esteem, self-reliance, and overcoming obstacles. They do not work with alcoholism, addiction, or anti-social personality disorder.

VIP Mental Health and Life Coaching Offers Crisis Intervention Strategies

An emphasis of their work seems to be crisis intervention strategy. VIP Mental Health and Life Coaches offer strategies in distraction, stress reduction, soothing the senses, using a wise mind to improve the moment, and acceptance. Their acceptance belief is quite interesting – they describe it as: “instead of waiting for the storm to pass, learn to dance in the rain.”

It’s a strategy that certainly comes into play often for everyone – we all face challenges and we will all have bad days. Things will go badly from time to time and it’s best to learn how to handle the bad moments. Why get mad when you can learn ways to use adversity to your advantage? Why get frustrated when things go wrong – just push on a turn that negative into a positive.

What is Mental Health Coaching?

A mental health coach is usually not a psychiatrist, therapist, or a doctor. They are coaches who have been trained in mental health – they may have worked in psychiatry or therapy and move over to life coaching. Mental health coaching differs from therapy in that it helps people heal, but it focuses more on pushing people ahead toward achievement, fulfillment, and contentment. VIP Mental Health and Life Coaching can do this by working on strategies to sooth a client’s life of crises and then helping them learn the life skills needed to find happiness and success.

Clients can use VIP to act as a guide, to serve as a sounding board, to offer knowledge, and to provide skills for coping, motivation, and inspiration. Mental health coaches can’t really claim to have cures for many mental illness such as depression, because they are not doctors, but they do offer support, guidance, encouragement, and life skills.

A New Frontier For Life Coaches

For many years, life coaches shied away from the complex issues involving mental health. They usually only worked with healthy people who were just looking to improve. However, things have changed, and more and more life coaches are offering mental health coaching as part of their service. Those coaches with the training and experience in mental health can now offer more help to a larger target market. VIP Mental Health and Life Coaching provides these services to all potential clients in Florida and Arizona. They are licensed, insured, and Medicare approved, and are ready to offer their professional help.

Mental Health coaching would be ideal in our present day and age when life has become so complicated! I just love their line,” instead of waiting for the storm to pass, learn to dance in the rain”! Thumbs up!

It is good to learn that more and more coaches have turned to this direction as I believe there are so many who need their help. Ridding our life of the “negatives” and changing this to the “positives”! Really great!
