To Become a Christian Life Coach or Not?

August 14, 2012 by Fred Phillips Leave a Comment

One of the best ways to create real and lasting change in people’s lives is to become a Christian life coach. Not only can you make drastic changes in the lives of many people, you can also create a comfortable living for yourself.

To Become a Christian life Coach or Not?

If you are an atheist or an agnostic, becoming a Christian life coach is probably not the right career move. However, if you strive to live your own life through the lens of Christian values, helping others find a Christian path through life is truly a rewarding career. Life coaches help clients find the pathway to goals and dreams; Christian life coaches seek the same pathway, only their pathway utilizes the teachings of Jesus Christ and a Biblical-based approach to life.

To become a Christian life coach means that you will walk the walk, talk the talk, and pursue a life based on Christian values. If you aren’t walking the walk or talking the talk, you can certainly not expect others to learn from you. If you have faith in yourself, and faith in your clients as Christians, then they will be more likely to follow you to the the promised land.

What You Will Do as a Christian Life Coach?

You will help people realize their value. This provides them with confidence and self-esteem because they are one of God’s creations. You will also help clients eliminate self-doubt and pessimism by helping them turn away from the wrong voices and begin listening to and affirming their life based on the word of God.

When you make the decision to become a Christian life coach, you will also have the ability to influence the career choices that people make. You can help them select the right career path through assessments and inventories. You can work with them on getting jobs, promotions, or starting a business – all within the parameters of Christian values.

Christian coaches also work with clients on relationships and health. You can help your clients develop listening and communication skills while also teaching them the value of commitment and marriage in a Christian lifestyle. You can also help them discover methods to lose weight, lead a healthy lifestyle and become healthier in mind and body.

Remember that Coaches Don’t Tell

No matter what type of coach you are, it is important to remember that coaches don’t tell clients what to do – they merely act as a catalyst for getting the client to find their own answers. As a Christian coach, you help them find the answers using Christian and Biblical values.

To become a Christian life coach is a potentially life changing experience. Not only will you be in a position to make deep and transformative changes in your clients, but you will also be able to do the same in your own life. As a coach, you must be always moving forward and improving if you expect your clients to do the same. Live your life with Christian values and you will be able to create more powerful changes in your clients. Don’t take the decision to become a Christian life coach lightly; it is one of the most life-altering and powerful decisions you can make.
