The Bottom Line Benefits of Meditation for Coaches

July 4, 2016 by Fred Phillips 1 Comment

The benefits of meditation for coaches are many – there are numerous scientific studies that point to the spiritual and health benefits of meditation. Coaches can learn the power of meditation to help their clients, but they can also learn its amazing benefits to help themselves and their practices.

Meditation for Both Coaches and Clients

The bottom line benefits of meditation enhance a coaching practice in two different ways. By learning how to meditate, you can pass this knowledge along to your clients. By learning how to relax and bring some silence into their lives, clients can improve their chances of reaching their goals and finding more happiness and contentment. More clients reaching the outcomes they seek means more satisfied clients, and more income. It’s a benefit of meditation for coaches that can easily be measured in client numbers and money in the bank!

The benefits of meditation also include meditation for the coach. You not only can teach your clients how to meditate, you can also use the power of meditation to improve your own ability to coach.

Yes – meditation can make you a better coach! Yes – the benefits of meditation for coaches gives you the power to improve your own personal and professional life!

The Many Benefits of Meditation for Coaches

This is what meditation can do for you and your client:

  • Improves emotional well-being by lessening worry, anxiety, and fear.
  • Reduces stress levels.
  • Enhances self-esteem and self-confidence.
  • Increases optimism.
  • Improves awareness and the ability to relax.
  • Improves resilience against adversity, pain, and trauma.
  • Increases mental focus and strength.
  • Builds better cognitive skills and enhances creativity.
  • Helps to manage distractions and information overload.
  • Improves the immune system and reduces blood pressure.
  • Helps improve decision-making skills.

I bet if you could take a pill that would do all these things, you’d probably go out immediately and buy it!

Meditation takes a little more time and effort than just swallowing a magic pill, but it really doesn’t take much time and it certainly isn’t that difficult.

The Bottom Line Benefit for Meditation

Though the benefits of meditation for coaches listed above are amazing, there is still the bottom line to consider. Is it worth your time to take 20 or 30 minutes out of your day to meditate? Would your time be better spent working on your website, writing an article, or creating new ways to market your services and brand?

Because the benefits of meditation are backed by numerous scientific studies, and because the anecdotal evidence is overwhelming, it seems clear that taking a small amount of time to incorporate meditation, sometimes called silence, into your daily routine will have a significant impact on your coaching practice.

2 Keys to Successful Meditation

  1. Though the benefits of meditation for coaches are many, it can sometimes be difficult to meditate. You are often told to clear your mind to get the benefits of meditation, but the first key to actually getting the benefits is to free your mind. Though some people say meditation is about not thinking or about controlling your thoughts, it is actually about freeing your mind to think about whatever it wants to think about, and allowing your mind to focus on what it wants and go where it will!
  2. The second key to getting all the benefits of meditation for coaches is to plant an idea in your mind before you free it. The more time you spend focusing on this idea, the better. For example, you can focus on key words that have specific meanings for you – affirmations that resonate with your life.

Adding meditation to your daily routine is a great way to boost your own creativity and coaching ability, and to offer more outcomes and results for your clients. It enhances your life and your bottom line!

Give this strategy a try and see for yourself that it works. If you liked this coaching tip, leave a comment or use the handy bookmark buttons below to share it with others on Facebook, Twitter, Digg, etc. Thanks!
