Life Coaching Confessions: What I Never Say Because I’m Too Lazy

October 9, 2010 by Jeffrey T. Sooey 1 Comment

There are things that I say inside my head but I would never say out loud because I’m too lazy. I do this with my clients, and I know how much work it is. And how necessary it is to my clients’ success. How about you? How often do you go to the edge for your clients? Maybe you just don’t think it would make a difference in your their life. Maybe it’s too much of a hassle. Maybe you’re not fully engaged in the coaching conversation.

Are You Robbing Your Life Coaching Clients?

Life coaching is not about being nice. Or supportive. Or helpful. Coaching is about getting results. Results that are not predictable without your coaching. How do you deliver these type of results without calling people on their “stuff?” How often do you interrupt your clients to call them on the story that robs them of their life? Without you, their emotions and behaviors will regulate their actions like the thermostat that regulate the temperature in your home.

What You Don’t Want To Say Out Loud What Your Clients Need To Hear Most

If your clients don’t hear it in their coaching sessions with you, chances are they are not getting the message anywhere else. Most people don’t say what’s really on their mind because of social constructs. We’re all learned, “If you can’t say something nice, you shouldn’t say it at all” and “Before you help remove a splinter from someone’s eye, remove the log out of your own.” What your clients really need most is someone who will take a stand for them. They need someone who is willing to be there unselfishly for them and say what needs to be said.

Most relationships are tit for tat. I love you because you love me. I won’t call you on your stuff and you don’t call me on mine. As a coach you want to remain completely unattached to your life coaching clients and their outcomes. The moment you need them to continue for money, connection, etc. is the moment you need to let them move on because you hinder your ability to say what’s on your mind and powerfully lead them to create their destiny.

Would you like an endless stream of new coaching clients? Simply fill out the form to the right with your first name and email and I’ll send you free videos with step-by-step blueprints for generating a massive income from high paying coaching clients.
