The world is full of life coaching business tips.  Last night our family went out to dinner, and the fortune cookies had several great tips on that could be applied to your coaching business or to your business coaching clients.  You can choose whether you share the source or not.

1. Anyone can “start”, only the thoroughbred will “finish!”  The stats are that only 5% of new businesses survive the first year.  Are you going to be one of the few?  If you were, how would you train?  What would you do that you are not currently doing?  Let’s face it: thoroughbreds are treated differently than your average horse.   How are you treating your business?
2. Be patient: in time, even an egg will walk.  This was my 2-year-old son’s fortune.   It took him 14 months to walk functionally.  He fell many times before he could walk across a room.  It’s the same in building a business, or in anything else you want to achieve in your life.  Having a powerful long term vision will help you continue through the obstacles, challenges, or even short term failures.
3. Impossible standards just make life difficult.  Don’t wait to celebrate until you reach your big goals.  You wouldn’t do this with your clients, so why do it to yourself?  Set up your game so you can win.  Create steps that you can achieve on a daily and weekly basis.
