You often see articles about the average personal coach salary, or the amount the average life coach makes. However, who wants to be average? Who wants to make an average salary or a middle-of-the-road income?

The question you really should be asking is – How do I make more as a persona coach?

4 Tips to Boost Personal Coaching Salaries
Now you know the average personal coach salary, and you know you don’t want to be average, here are a few ways to get to that average, and then push your salary or income far beyond that average.
- Certification. Certification not only tells potential clients that you have received the necessary training, it also makes you value yourself more. Your confidence will go up and so will your coaching fees. When you have confidence in your ability, it shows, and your clients will not only believe in you, they will also believe in themselves – and this is exactly the right outcome you want!
- Market yourself wisely. You have to sell and promote. You have to market yourself and your coaching skills. Create a marketing system that produces an abundance of leads by trying all available methods, and then offer value, both free and for a fee, that will turn those leads into paying customers.
- Offer packages. You don’t have to only charge by the hour – that’s what an average coach does. Create packages in which you charge monthly or for longer periods of time. Results take time, and longer coaching packages often produce better outcomes. Better outcomes give you a better reputation and increased word-of-mouth marketing (which is free marketing!). Those better results and that free marketing equal a higher personal coach salary.
- Invest in your business. You’re off to a good start. You’ve built a good reputation, you’re attracting clients, and you’ve been able to raise your fees. But, you can’t put your business on cruise control!
Invest some of your income and some of your time in your coaching practice so it can continue to grow and prosper.
- Invest in education and training
- Hire an SEO, social media expert, or marketing expert to really boost your exposure and income.
- Start to develop alternate products and streams of income, such as DVDs, books, articles, and workshops. When you have income coming in from different sources, you’ll really take your personal coach salary to a whole new level!
