But the\u00a0career coaching industry<\/a><\/strong><\/span>\u00a0is just like any other business, if you want to be successful you\u2019re going to have to work. What does that mean?<\/p>\n You are not going to be successful in the\u00a0career coaching industry<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0if you think you can show up for work in your pajamas. Don\u2019t laugh; I know some of you do.\u00a0<\/span>Life coaching school<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/span>will teach you how to get into \u201csta<\/span>te\u201d for coaching, but are you really going to feel ready to give your best if you\u2019re wearing your fuzzy slippers?<\/p>\n Another common misconception people get from\u00a0<\/span>life coaching school<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0ads is that you can make a lot of money in the\u00a0<\/span>career coaching industry<\/strong>,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>travel the world, and coach from poolside at a 5 star resort while drinking a fruity cocktail in a pineapple. You will have none of this unless you tak<\/span>e your business seriously. You can coach while on vacation, but just find a place where you won\u2019t have interruptions and you maintain the same focus and intensity you usually have.<\/p>\n You may learn a lot about coaching from\u00a0life coaching school<\/span><\/span><\/span>, but you won\u2019t get good until you actually use those skills and coach people. That\u2019s why you need 500 paid hours of coaching to apply for certification from the International Coaching Foundation (ICF). If you can\u2019t find paying clients, coach people for free. And if you can\u2019t find people who appreciate your free coaching, you need to go back\u00a0<\/span>to life coaching school<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0and improve your skills. Those clients need to be getting results and you won\u2019t be successful in the\u00a0<\/span>career coaching industry<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0unless you play full out<\/span> every time you show up for a coaching session.<\/p>\n The\u00a0<\/span>career coaching industry<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0do<\/span>esn\u2019t equate to a career coaching hobby. If you really think you are going to graduate from\u00a0<\/span>life coaching school<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>and find<\/span> clients falling out of the sky by doing this business when you feel like it, you are in for a big surprise.
