Not just to succeed but to succeed ultimately. Clearly, there are a lot of ideas about what success means, and what it doesn’t mean. To make it more complex, these definitions evolve as we move through our lives. Surely, success has something to do with having a goal and achieving it; but there is a lot more to it.

Going back to the Basics

The first secret in success coaching involves going back to the four basic needs that are “hard-wired” into every human. These are the needs for love and connection, significance, variety and certainty. These emotional needs are as absolute, as our physical needs for oxygen and water. If we can help our clients translate their various goals into these four fundamental needs we will be on our way to helping them define true success for them.

True Success Is a Balancing Act

The second secret to success coaching involves balancing the achievement of each of the four fundamental needs. This is important because we do not need to satisfy a couple of the fundamental needs to be happy. For true happiness and success, we need to satisfy all of the fundamental needs. Obviously, this calls for balance. If fact, most unhappiness results in trading off a very high level of satisfaction of one need against the very low satisfaction of another. By helping your client to increase the level of satisfaction of the needs they are not satisfying, while not lowering the level of satisfaction for the needs that they are satisfying, it is possible to create a self-reinforcing condition which encourages greater and greater satisfaction with each of the four fundamental needs, and ultimate success.

In Success Coaching, It’s all in the Implementation

Armed with this perspective, the success coach must help their client implement plans that satisfy their basic needs. What is important is that goals and strategies are tied back to fundamental needs and that the satisfaction of these needs is met in a balanced and self-reinforcing way. Following this guide the mystery of success can be made clear.

Special Bonus – Learn 32 ‘Guru’ Transformation Techniques when you fill in the form at the top right and click the “Watch The Videos Now” button.
