No one wants to think of their life coaching business<\/strong><\/a> as a hobby.\u00a0\u00a0The truth is that until you start treating your coaching as a business, you won\u2019t get the results you are looking for.\u00a0\u00a0So how do you tell if you are a life coach who has a hobby?\u00a0\u00a0These are the telltale signs no one really wants to look at.<\/p>\n

Your Life Coaching Business Is a Hobby If:<\/strong><\/h3>\n

1.\u00a0 You spend more money than you make or you have more \u201cnon-paying\u201d clients than \u201cpaying\u201d clients.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Your life coaching business<\/strong> is a hobby if you think about your business more than you work on it.\u00a0\u00a0They say, \u201cTalk is cheap.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0If you talk about your business, it should be in the form of getting more clients or coaching existing clients.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 If you \u201ccollect\u201d educational materials that you haven\u2019t had time to implement or if you\u2019ve been to more than 3 seminars in the past 12 months without any objective growth in your business.<\/p>\n

How to Transform Your Hobby Into A Business<\/strong><\/h3>\n

1.\u00a0 Get mentoring.\u00a0\u00a0Ideally your mentoring should come from a coach who can see your blind spots.\u00a0\u00a0Find someone who is where you want to be.\u00a0\u00a0Your peers can support you, but can\u2019t lead you.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0 Create a business plan and follow it.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 Take massive action.\u00a0\u00a0You should be spending a minimum of 10 hours a week working on creating new business or products in order to start getting momentum in moving your business forward.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 Look at your results, and revise your plan accordingly.\u00a0\u00a0Learn by taking action and making decisions.\u00a0\u00a0Michael Jordan didn\u2019t make the high school basketball team, but he didn\u2019t let that stop him from achieving his dream.\u00a0\u00a0He saw the results he got, revised his plan, and continued to take action.<\/p>\n

If you want another hobby, coaching is great.\u00a0\u00a0If you want to have a life coaching business<\/span> that will support you and your family; it is possible.\u00a0\u00a0The choice is yours.<\/p>\n
