One of the best ways to enhance your coaching career<\/strong><\/span><\/a> is to be part of a mastermind group.\u00a0 If you aren\u2019t in one, you should be.\u00a0 In his seminal book, Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill said \u201cNo individual may have great power without availing himself of the Mastermind.\u00a0 Great power can be accumulated through no other principle.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0 The concept is simple–a\u00a0 group of peers who discuss ideas and contribute information, insight, feedback and accountability to each other. The outcomes can be extraordinary.<\/p>\n

Multiple perspectives<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Consider the possibility that you are the only limitation on your coaching career<\/strong><\/span><\/a> and even on your life.\u00a0 Whatever happens around you, happens, and there are limitless permutations.\u00a0 But how you handle those permutations, whether in life or in your coaching career<\/strong>, is up to you.\u00a0 Your mindset, your expectations, your belief system, how you spend your time,\u00a0 all these arise from internal factors.\u00a0 And because they are internal, your perspective on them is limited by whatever blindspots you have, and consequently your options are limited by them as well.\u00a0 We all have blind spots, and they can compromise our lives and our businesses.\u00a0\u00a0 A mastermind brings multiple perspectives from outside of yourself to shed light on your blind spots so you have the opportunity to find different ways to manage or to approach what happens outside you.<\/p>\n

Exponential effect<\/strong><\/h3>\n

In a mastermind, one idea will lead to another which will then create another, as the knowledge and experience of each member inspires the others.\u00a0 Everyone is more powerful because of the synergy generated within the group.\u00a0\u00a0 In a coaching mastermind, each individual\u2019s coaching career<\/span> will have different weaknesses and strengths, but the combined skills and experience of the group can generate ideas and solutions any one person might never think of on her own.\u00a0 One change multiplied by another change multiplied by a third change, etc. creates the opportunity for an exponential increase in the value of the result.<\/p>\n

Long term effects on your coaching career<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A mastermind is a long term proposition.\u00a0 The people in your mastermind often become trusted life-long friends or business partners.\u00a0 You provide clarity and focus for each other, and an incubator for the knowledge and experience of you all.\u00a0 The peer pressure of the group provides strong support and accountability to make sure you move forward in productive ways in your coaching career<\/strong>s.<\/p>\n
