{"id":4053,"date":"2010-07-14T13:00:37","date_gmt":"2010-07-14T13:00:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/coachestrainingblog.com\/becomeacoach\/?p=4053"},"modified":"2016-08-25T12:30:49","modified_gmt":"2016-08-25T20:30:49","slug":"coaching-for-business-the-four-seasons-for-growing-a-business","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/coachestrainingblog.com\/becomeacoach\/coaching-for-business-the-four-seasons-for-growing-a-business\/","title":{"rendered":"Coaching for Business: The Four Seasons for Growing a Business"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Coaching for business<\/strong> growth is not necessarily predicable.\u00a0 What is predictable for many businesses is that they struggle for years, business owners are merely the employees that get paid last.\u00a0 Their businesses never become the vehicles they dream will bring financial independence.\u00a0 These business owners are a step up from slavery.\u00a0\u00a0 With coaching, however, even a stagnant business can turn around in a short time with a few keys.<\/p>\n<h3>Coaching for Business Basics for Success<\/h3>\n<p>Season #1:\u00a0 Plowing the Fields<\/p>\n<p>Your client works in their business on a daily basis.\u00a0 This is the most labor-intensive period.\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Coaching for business<\/strong> owners during this season includes helping your clients develop a clear vision to sustain them through the obstacles they must face, usually alone, at this time.\u00a0 It is the testing ground for future automation.\u00a0 The sooner you can help your clients get through this season the better, but it can take years.<\/p>\n<p>Season 2:\u00a0 Help on the Way<\/p>\n<p>Your client begins to see what works and what doesn\u2019t, and is able to begin to outsource some of the more menial tasks.\u00a0 The trial and effort from the first stage allows your client to create procedure manuals so anyone can contribute with minimal training.<\/p>\n<p>Season 3:\u00a0 Deferring the Celebration<\/p>\n<p>This is the point where <strong>coaching for business<\/strong> can make the greatest long-term impact.\u00a0 During this season your coaching clients feel they have earned the right to celebrate.\u00a0 They may blow all of their assets to buy a new car or home, or take a big owner\u2019s draw.\u00a0 \u00a0If you are encouraging your business clients to celebrate along the way, this stage season can be weathered more easily.\u00a0 The capital they have earned needs to be re-invested for the next stage to occur.\u00a0 Otherwise they are doomed to live between the first two seasons.<\/p>\n<p>Season 4:\u00a0 Re-investing<\/p>\n<p>During this season, your clients need to re-invest their time and financial resources to get to the next level.\u00a0 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Coaching for business<\/span> in this season requires you to let your clients know that they are at the final push to the next plateau.\u00a0 This is often the business \u2018wall\u2019 that is akin to the marathon \u2018wall\u2019 runners face a few miles short of the finish.\u00a0 Many business owners never make it through this season, because they don\u2019t know how close they are to the next stage.\u00a0 If they make it through this season, they\u2019ll have the basis for a sustainable future.\u00a0 Now is the time to re-invest resources to make their business more automated via technologies or outsourcing.<\/p>\n<h3>Eyes For The Future<\/h3>\n<p>With these basic stages of <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">coaching for business<\/span> covered, your client will now have a future paced view of the business.\u00a0 The path to success doesn\u2019t look like a staircase, but more like a seasonal pattern of periods of hard work, growth, and even slower times.\u00a0 Using these keys, your business should see many of these seasons during its lifetime.<\/p>\n<p><em>Hope you took some great value out of this post today!
