\u201cHow much will my life coaching income<\/a><\/strong> be?\u201d is a question I hear often from new coaches and from people considering coaching as a career.\u00a0 The answer is, it depends.\u00a0 It depends first on what coaching model you are following.\u00a0 Let\u2019s look at two possibilities.<\/p>\n

New Coaches Can Work on Someone Else\u2019s Team<\/h3>\n

One model for earning a life coaching income<\/strong> is to work in someone else\u2019s company.\u00a0 If someone else is providing you clients, or leads for clients, it eliminates a potential hurdle for you, but you will only get part of the client fees.\u00a0 For instance, if the client is paying $300 per month for one-on-one coaching, your agreement might be to split the fee 50-50 with the company for clients they send you.\u00a0 In that case, if you want a life coaching income<\/strong> of $2000 per month, you would need to be coaching 12-14 clients on a regular basis.<\/p>\n

Now, that may sound like a lot of clients for not much money, but consider a few facts.\u00a0 First, with this model you don\u2019t need to do any marketing or advertising to get clients.\u00a0 Second, you might only be working with each client every other week, in half hour sessions.\u00a0 Granted, you may need to schedule longer sessions when you are starting out, but as the number of clients increases, so will your experience, and you will quickly learn how to get results for your clients in half hour segments.\u00a0 So, you will be able to fit your coaching into 1-2 days twice a month and have a life coaching income<\/span> to supplement your day job.\u00a0 Third, and particularly important for new coaches, you can have ongoing support, mentoring, and training from the company you are working for.<\/p>\n

Earning a Life Coaching Income on Your Own<\/h3>\n

A different and more usual model for life coaching is to go into business for yourself.\u00a0 All of your client\u2019s fees would then go to you, so obviously your income from the same 12-14 clients would be doubled.\u00a0 If you choose to work with each client twice a month rather than every week,\u00a0you could coach as many as thirty to forty clients per month in about 10 hours per week, and quadruple your coaching income.<\/p>\n

Now, $300 per month is a pretty low fee for coaching.\u00a0 Consider what happens to your life coaching income<\/span> when you raise your low $300 per month fee to a more usual $450 per month, with just your original 12-14 clients.\u00a0\u00a0 Your income jumps to around $6000 per month!\u00a0 Pretty exciting, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n
