There is a simple formula that will help you discover your life coaching<\/a><\/strong><\/span> client\u2019s life purpose within a single session.\u00a0 You can use it on yourself.\u00a0 These three easy steps will make you look like a wizard, and your coaching clients will get results like never before once they are clear on where they want to go. \u00a0 First, have your life coaching<\/strong><\/span><\/a> clients\u2019 think of three separate times in their life when they felt really fulfilled or in the flow about what they were doing.\u00a0 Have them share the first three things that come to mind.\u00a0 Usually these are the most compelling clues. These incidents may be very different or very similar, and it doesn\u2019t really matter.\u00a0 What matters is what you do next.<\/p>\n

Drill Down and Do Some Serious Detective Work<\/h3>\n

Once you have the answers to the first step, ask your clients what about those events really got them excited.\u00a0 Find out what it was about them that worked in that incident.\u00a0 What did they bring to the table?\u00a0 Clarify the meaning of their answers.\u00a0 Don\u2019t leave any stones unturned.\u00a0 If they say an incident made them feel \u2018powerful\u2019, find out what powerful means to them.\u00a0 Was it that they organized the event or was it that they energized the people at the event to accomplish something?\u00a0 Work with your life coaching<\/strong> clients on getting to the bottom line around each question.\u00a0 Eliminate what doesn\u2019t matter from what does.\u00a0 Isolate things that your client likes and is good at doing.<\/p>\n

Other possible questions to ask your client include:\u00a0 What did you want to be when you were a child and why?\u00a0 What are you constantly drawn to?\u00a0 What are you most passionate about?\u00a0 What do you desire most in life?\u00a0 Describe your perfect day.\u00a0 Who do you want to become in life?<\/p>\n

Use Your Life Coaching Skills to Find the Common Denominator<\/h3>\n

Tie the core patterns behind the incidents, desires, and drives together.\u00a0 Look for the common denominator.\u00a0 The thread you\u2019re looking for is who your client is being in each answer, how they are showing up, what qualities that they are expressing.\u00a0 Look for how your client is the same person in all the incidents.\u00a0 This will help your life coaching<\/strong> clients decide who they want to become.<\/p>\n
