href=\"https:\/\/coachestrainingblog.com\/becomeacoach\/category\/relationship-coach\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>relationship coach<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, they are at odds with each other.\u00a0 You might be the last stop before the divorce attorney.\u00a0 If you have already become a coach who has stepped up to the plate in your own marriage, odds are better that you will be able to make a difference.<\/p>\n<h3>A Relationship Coach Tale of Two Cities<\/h3>\n<p>When a couple isn\u2019t connecting, it\u2019s because they are not getting their needs met in the relationship.\u00a0 For example sometimes both people are trying to get significance, when both want love and connection.\u00a0 How does it look?\u00a0 The emotional vehicle for significance is anger, which will serve to drive the other person away.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t take long for a little annoyance to escalate into an argument or a day of the \u2018cold shoulder\u2019 treatment.<\/p>\n<h3>What Does It Take To Connect?<\/h3>\n<p>It takes one person to decide to make a difference.\u00a0 When someone is trying to get their emotional need for significance met, giving him or her significance will quickly begin to diffuse the situation.\u00a0 What does giving someone significance look like?\u00a0 Finding a heartfelt way to acknowledge the other person and his or her strengths. \u00a0\u00a0I had a client who was very busy and her husband was feeling less than important.\u00a0 She brought home a gardening project, and her husband made a snide comment about her ability to do it properly.\u00a0 He was annoyed at being put last again.\u00a0 He wanted significance.\u00a0 Instead of giving him the cold shoulder, she asked for his help.\u00a0 They were able to connect and enjoy the rest of the day together.<\/p>\n<p>When you become a <a href=\"https:\/\/coachestrainingblog.com\/becomeacoach\/category\/relationship-coach\/\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>relationship coach <\/strong><\/span><\/a>who teaches your clients how to meet their partner\u2019s needs, you empower them.\u00a0 When one person is willing to put the other person\u2019s needs above their own and truly be there for the other person, it heals and creates opportunities for their partner to reciprocate.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong><span style=\"color:
