The key is CONTENT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Content is the only way you can introduce your coaching to strangers\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
…without them running away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Whether it\u2019s…<\/p>\n\n\n\n …content is the first experience of your coaching<\/span> that strangers should get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And if they like the taste of that content (i.e. coaching), they\u2019ll want more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, now that I\u2019ve got you thinking about producing content…<\/p>\n\n\n\n Beginning your content journey can be confusing and overwhelming.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019ve been there myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I was terrified of putting my content ‘out there’.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Even though I had written tons of papers in college and grad school…<\/p>\n\n\n\n I wondered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n …What if people don\u2019t like my writing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n …What if I look bad?<\/p>\n\n\n\n …What if I\u2019m rejected?<\/p>\n\n\n\n I knew that even Shakespeare, Agatha Christie, and J.K. Rowlings had critics…<\/p>\n\n\n\n But what was little old me supposed to do?<\/p>\n\n\n\n What\u2019s ironic?<\/p>\n\n\n\n I already knew what to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n My coach had already taught me that there are only three simple steps to start producing content<\/span>:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I mean\u2026 any idiot could follow those steps!<\/p>\n\n\n\n I had two big roadblocks:<\/p>\n\n\n\n FIRST – I was worrying about what others would think<\/span> about me and my content\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n …instead of focusing on the clients I could serve with that content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n SECOND – I wanted instant gratification<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I wanted to write content, but only if it would lead to \u2018instant clients\u2019\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n …so I had an unhealthy attachment to the results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So, even if I DID start, I\u2019d quit before the results would ever materialize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I was destined to fail in my content journey, if I didn\u2019t find a way to get over these limiting thoughts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The key is CONTENT.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n …and I found TWO:<\/p>\n\n\n\n CONFIDENCE helped me to believe that I could win<\/span>, even when the results weren\u2019t there (yet).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n VULNERABILITY gave me the willingness to \u2018look bad\u2019<\/span> if people didn\u2019t like my content.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Let\u2019s look into into both of these \u2018antidotes\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The first type of confidence comes from outside you<\/span>\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n …perhaps from gaining experience or knowledge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s like when you get a college degree in economics, so then you\u2019re confident about economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This type of confidence is EXTERNAL.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The second type of confidence comes from within you<\/span>\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n …stemming from your beliefs, emotions, values, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n …deciding to believe that no matter what happens, you can handle it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n That even if you experience fear, shame, rejection, and failure\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n …that you will choose to be compassionate and loving with yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n …that you will learn and grow from the experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n …and that you won\u2019t beat yourself up when you fail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This second type of confidence is INTERNAL.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n (NOTE: If you want to learn how to start your own coaching business, then check out this webinar<\/a><\/strong>, called “How to Start Your Coaching Business in 30 Days<\/a>“<\/a><\/strong> \u00a0During the webinar, I\u2019ll cover how to get your first paid clients fast and make it feel natural for you.
