Want someone to help build your coaching business?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Someone to create a website for you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Someone to create a sales funnel for you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Someone to create a marketing copy for you?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Me too…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But at times I\u2019ve found my desire for \u2018help\u2019 goes too far\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

…to the point of wanting someone to come and save me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And I get stuck in the trap of feeling overwhelmed and confused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My typical coaching session would include telling my coach,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what to do\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

And complaining about how overwhelming my life was.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, my coach said\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“STOP IT.”<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

She told me that being stuck in overwhelm and confusion were indulgent emotions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI\u2019m not INDULGING… I really do have a lot on my plate!\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I argued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c…I have a coaching business to run.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

…I have 2 kids.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

…and a dog, a guinea pig, and an aquarium of fish.\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

But my coach wasn\u2019t buying any of it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As my coach and I worked together, I began to understand that none of these circumstances were to blame<\/span> for me feeling overwhelmed and confused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was doing it to myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The truth was, that even when I blocked time to work on my coaching business\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

…I wasn\u2019t really showing up for myself.<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

And I was good at hiding it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Even though I looked like a powerful coach and a leader to others…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Deep inside I was a scared little girl<\/span>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I shoved that little girl into the closet\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

…and told her to be quiet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OK, let\u2019s get back to my coaching session…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As my coach pinned down my ‘little girl’ pattern, I helplessly protested\u2026<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
