It follows the coaching standards that have been established by the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE). The CCE is a non-profit organization that has been providing certifications to professionals since 1995. The organization\u2019s mission is to advance professional excellence through credentialing, assessment, and business services. It is based in Greensboro, North Carolina.&nbsp; The board-certified coach credential can be conferred upon individuals in any professional field as long as they fulfil the CCEs\u2019 requirements. Applicants looking to be board certified must complete their training at a CCE-Approved <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Board Certified Coach<\/span> Training Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>About North Carolina State University<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">North Carolina State University is a public land-grant research university in Raleigh, North Carolina, founded in 1887 and part of the University of North Carolina system. &nbsp; NC State is a powerhouse in science, technology, engineering, and math, and they currently lead in agriculture, education, textiles, business, and natural resources.&nbsp; They offer both online and traditional programs for degree and non-degree seeking students. One of those programs include their Family Life Education and Coaching programs delivered entirely online through the Agriculture and Life Sciences department.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>North Carolina State\u2019s Board Certified Coach Training Program<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What type of coach training programs does NC State offer individuals?&nbsp; Through its Youth, Family, and Community Sciences graduate program, the school offers a graduate certificate in Family Life Education and Coaching. It can be taken online and via distance education. This coaching program offers professionals in the field of social or community services the opportunity to serve as Family Life Coaches.&nbsp; The family life coaching training program requires participation in the 30-hour entirely distance education course. Class sessions involve:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ten hours of live class meetings; the first class is two hours; all other sessions are one hour using the web conference technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students are expected to complete ten hours of peer coaching and five hours of solo family life coaching practice, and five hours of theoretical and practical literature review.&nbsp; This course fulfills the BCC credential training requirement for the current Master\u2019s level family life professionals.&nbsp; Individuals will receive a certification of completion from the university upon successful completion of the course. They will then be eligible for the BCC credentials once all the requirements below are met.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Eligibility Requirements For The BCC Credentialing- Individuals Must Possess The Following<\/em>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>A Bachelor\u2019s Degree or Higher is required (Master\u2019s Degree preferred).<\/li><li>A sealed official transcript from the educational institution<\/li><li>Completion of a minimum of 120 hours of professional coach training from a CCE-approved coach training provider.<\/li><li>Thirty hours of post-degree coaching experience working with individuals, groups, or organizations.<\/li><li>Experience form completed by a professional coach, supervisor, or colleague.<\/li><li>One professional endorsement.<\/li><li>Applicants must pass the BCC examination to be awarded the BCC credential.<\/li><li>Exam Costs include $279 application review fees and a $40 annual maintenance fee for certificate holders.<\/li><li>Recertification requires confirmation of 70 clock hours of continuing education accrued within your five-year recertification cycle as determined by CCE. Of the 70 clock hours, four clock hours must be earned in the area of ethics.
