But, how can you find your &#8220;people&#8221; (the clients you want to serve) when you don\u2019t have a solid niche?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8230;how can you find your &#8220;people&#8221; when you don\u2019t have a solid niche?&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is why it\u2019s important to know your niche as a coach.<\/p>\n<p>The biggest and most important question to ask?<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWho exactly are the people I want to serve?\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This way, when you create your coaching programs and put out quality content, you know exactly who to target.<\/p>\n<p>While coaching is a broad field and can sound like a vague term, it can be to your benefit to focus your efforts and get specific. You can\u2019t serve everybody (nor should you try to!).<\/p>\n<p>So\u2026 know your intended audience deeply:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>research them<\/li>\n<li>talk to them<\/li>\n<li>find the best coaching training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2026and know how you can best serve your tribe.<\/p>\n<h3>Uncover Your Audience<\/h3>\n<p>The first step is to find the kind of people you want to help.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Who exactly are the people I want to serve?&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Do you want to focus on business people?<\/p>\n<p>Do you want to focus on those who are struggling with their life journey?<\/p>\n<p>Do you want to focus on mothers?<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes it\u2019s a little easier to start out thinking about the people you know you don\u2019t want to serve.<\/p>\n<p>Once you\u2019re left with the people that you do want to serve, then you can go a little more specific. For instance:<\/p>\n<p>people still building their business<br \/>\nor<br \/>\n20-30-something young women struggling on how to navigate through life<br \/>\nor<br \/>\nmothers who want to balance motherhood and building a business at home.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps you\u2019ve been in the military and have a heart for those serving. Perhaps you understand the struggles of motherhood and want to help young mothers achieve their goals.<\/p>\n<p>This \u201ccoaching niche finder\u201d should be a super fun process, so don\u2019t stress yourself out. Jot them all down, look at them, and you\u2019ll begin to see themes and patterns that will help you pick a direction.<\/p>\n<p>There are as many ways to be a coach as there are stories &#8212; so don\u2019t be afraid to be specific.<\/p>\n<h3>Be Specific and Use the Power of Your Story<\/h3>\n<p>After you\u2019ve identified your audience, begin to figure out how you can help these people.<\/p>\n<p>This is what\u2019s going to separate you from the pack. This is what\u2019s going to help you stand out.<\/p>\n<p>So many people are wondering \u201cwhy get a life coach?\u201d, which is to say, many coaches have answers to that question.<\/p>\n<p>Your specific, unique answer to that major question is what\u2019s going to separate you from the competition. How does the power of your story energize the conversations you\u2019ll have?<\/p>\n<p>Your story is your gold, and if you consider the path that lead you here, you can see how the things you\u2019ve gone through can help others. Sharing your story authentically and honestly can impact people in remarkable ways.?<\/p>\n<h3>Prepare for the Road Bumps<\/h3>\n<p>Finding your <strong>coaching niches<\/strong> as a life coach may be about playing to your strengths, but it is not easy. It takes effort and it can often be a process of trial and error. That\u2019s perfectly fine too.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes, we think we know who we want to serve, but once we start to provide coaching services to these people, we realize they\u2019re not the ones we want to serve.<\/p>\n<p>Or it simply isn\u2019t a profitable coaching niche.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s fine. This process takes time.<\/p>\n<p>Sometimes, it just doesn\u2019t happen perfectly on the first try. You may need to reassess and look at your story again, and figure out another way.
