You can practice your skill while letting someone else run the business. Of course, you are then subject to someone else\u2019s whims, company hours, and the rules and regulations of the organization.<\/p>\n<p>Do you want to run the show? Do you want to make your own rules? Do you want to be your own boss?<\/p>\n<h3>Can a Life Coach Have a Life?<\/h3>\n<p>Once you commit to owning a life coaching practice, you\u2019ll soon learn the issues faced many other coaches who have started life coaching businesses. It\u2019s easy to get started, it\u2019s an incredibly rewarding gig, but it takes plenty of hard work and time to make your business profitable and prosperous.<\/li>\n<li>Take time for yourself. Sure, you might need to work sixteen hours per day for some time to get going, but you can\u2019t continue at that pace indefinitely. Take a day off, take a short vacation, go play golf for the afternoon, take your spouse out to lunch &#8211; just get away from the business for a spell.<\/li>\n<li>On those days or weeks when you work so hard, remind yourself of your purpose \u2013 remember that life coaching is a calling and you are working so hard in the service of others.<\/li>\n<li>Make time for exercise and meditation. Exercise and meditation helps maintain a healthy body, a clear mind, and a strong immune system.<\/li>\n<li>Look for the signs of work burnout \u2013 increased cynicism, higher levels of stress, low energy, excessive worrying, and a perceived lack of time. It might be time for a vacation!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>life coaching business<\/strong><\/span> is a calling, but it is also a business. It\u2019s competitive, time-consuming, and stressful at times.
