These are basically life coaches, wellness coaches, or even financial coaches who have focused their attention on coaching stress.<\/p>\n<h3>Why Stress Coaching?<\/h3>\n<p>In a national Stress in America survey conducted by Harris Interactive for the American Psychological Association, 35% of Americans polled felt more stress this year than the previous year. It was also reported that 53% of those polled reported receiving little or no support from their health care providers concerning stress reduction or management.<\/p>\n<p>Though this survey shows that stress has declined a little since 2007, the levels of stress still remain stubbornly higher than they should. On a scale of 1 to 10, Americans felt that stress levels of 3.6 and below were healthy; participants in this study reported an average stress level of 4.9. the most common causes of stress were financial issues (69%), work (65%), the economy (61%), and relationships (56%).<\/p>\n<p>These numbers show that Americans are stressed, and that there is a need for professional and quality help in reducing and managing stress.
