Certified life coaching<\/a><\/strong> is a GREAT way to make a real difference in people\u2019s lives! So much of what we do are \u201cad on\u2019s\u201d like our career. But life coaches deal with fundamentals. And let\u2019s face it, until you get the foundation solid, anything you build on top of it really cannot be too stable. Here are three ways the life coach can make a profound difference for their clients.<\/p>\n

First, Get Their Balance Right<\/h3>\n

People are wired to satisfy four fundamental needs. They are the need for certainty, the need for variety, the need for significance, and the need for connection and love. It is clear that there is a tension between significance (putting yourself first) and love \/ connection (putting others first). And there is also a tension between certainty and variety. The trick is to help people adopt behaviors that increase the satisfaction of all four needs at the same time. Certified life coaching<\/span> can do this, and when it does, these positive behaviors become self-reinforcing.<\/p>\n

Second, Help Match Values and Actions<\/h3>\n

The life coach needs to help their client understand their personal values. If a client demonstrates high \u201csocial\u201d values, but is in a situation that calls for high \u201cutilitarian\u201d values, they will be unhappy and will feel like they are being forced to sell out. Certified life coaching<\/strong>, particularly through the use of assessments, can give insights to the client that will help them understand their past reactions and help them design a new and happy future.<\/p>\n

By understanding their client\u2019s personality style and values, the life coach can help the client identify highly complementary people. These matches will be mutually satisfying, stable and happy. Once the client has a strong personal foundation, has their actions in line with their values, and has partnered up with a complementary person, they are on their way to long term success, and this will be due, in large measure, to the certified life coach.<\/p>\n
