\"\"Good question. In case you haven\u2019t figured it out, coaching certification volunteer<\/a><\/strong> is the key word phrase for my blog post this week. In an effort to provide information that addresses peoples\u2019 actual concerns, we use Google analytics to determine information that people are actually looking for. So you have this phrase: coaching certification volunteer<\/span>. Now most of the time it is pretty clear what it is that people are looking for. But in this case, it is not. So, I am going to make a couple of points \u2013 whether you asked for them or not.<\/p>\n

Coaching Is a GREAT Profession<\/h3>\n

That\u2019s right, coaching is a great profession. And what is more \u2013 i.e. my second point \u2013 getting certified can be a great thing as well. Hopefully, you already know the wonderful positive impact that a great coach can have on peoples\u2019 lives. But what about \u201ccertification?\u201d The answer is that it all depends. The challenge \u2013 I won\u2019t say problem \u2013 is that coaching, as we know it today, is a young profession and certification is a relatively new concept. Coaching is also an unregulated profession. All of which means that you can become certified by someone who doesn\u2019t have a clue what they are doing or teaching. What does that mean? Whether it is coaching, certification, of volunteer(ing), it rests on you to make sure that you are dealing with a legitimate coaches training program. And that is true whether they hand out certificates at the end of your training or not. It is important that you get this: you can spend a lot of money and years of your life getting certified as a coach with people who just don\u2019t know what they are talking about.<\/p>\n

So where Does \u201cVolunteering\u201d Fit into Being a Coaching Certification Volunteer?<\/h3>\n

Assuming your coaching program is legit and being certified in that program is for real, then volunteering is a wonderful thing. First, it is a great way to get coaching practice in where it can do some real good. Second, it gives you the opportunity to help people who just might not be able to afford coaching services at all. Either way, you can learn and give back in a single action. Pretty cool. Yes!<\/p>\n
