If you really want to\u00a0become a personal coach<\/a><\/strong><\/span> who gets results, you are going to have to be totally honest. We know from\u00a0coach training<\/a><\/strong><\/span> that as the leader, your client will follow you. But if you don\u2019t show up being fully engaged in a session, how can you expect your client to do otherwise? They will follow you into the land of mediocrity. If you have any messy issues that have come up in the past few days that you have swept under the rug, you will fail to really connect with your client. You will run and hide, and no amount of <\/span>coach training<\/strong><\/span><\/span> will save you from having one of \u201cthose\u201d sessions that you prefer not to remember. Unless you are really honest and fully engaged, you are not going to be able to <\/span>become a personal coach<\/strong><\/span><\/span> wh<\/span>o can lead your clients to great results. You won\u2019t inspire them. And you can\u2019t lead them to play full out and really take risks if you aren\u2019t willing to take on those risks yourself.<\/p>\n To\u00a0become a personal coach<\/strong> <\/span><\/span>who is a leader means you go first. Most people are just hanging out, waiting for the next thing to happen. They are not being real. In Dr. Seuss\u2019s book, \u201cOh, the Places You\u2019ll Go\u201d he refers to a waiting room where people are just waiting for things to happen. For a bus to come, or the phone to ring. Just waiting. Maybe it\u2019s just waiting for that perfect <\/span>coach training<\/strong><\/span><\/span> tha<\/span>t will finally give you the answers you\u2019re looking for.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n When we\u00a0become a personal coach<\/span><\/span><\/span> who is fully engaged and present, we can create greatness. The problem with success is that it usually leads to trying to hold onto that moment of greatness, and continue to ride that success. At the moment we do that we start clinging to the past, we are no longer engaged in the moment. We stop doing whatever it takes to get results.<\/p>\n On the surface, our actions might look similar. But without being fully engaged, we are really only giving a fraction of the value we could be offering\u2026and only a fraction of the results we could be helping to create.<\/p>\n Trying to do it right or look good.<\/p>\n Trying to figure out things using your head instead of your heart.<\/p>\n Trying to sound like you know what you\u2019re doing.<\/p>\n And it just comes across as being a snooty, know it all. Your clients will just be waiting to get off the call, because you won\u2019t give them energy. You won\u2019t\u00a0become a personal coach<\/span><\/span> <\/span>who can inspire them, and you will leave them cold.
