Deciding to become a certified ontological coach means you must be ready and able to support your clients in looking first at who they are “being” and who they want to be, and then let this inform their decisions and actions they are going to take.
About Ontological Coaching
Before we define what, ontological coaching is, let us first understand the term “ontology”. It is not a term you hear every day. The term ontology has to do with the branch of philosophy that deals with being in general and its properties; the study of the nature of BEING. Ontology is basically the study of how we observe and interact with whatever’s around us.
What is ontological coaching?
According to the Newfield Network, the world’s leading ontological training organization since 1991, ontological coaching is an extraordinarily powerful methodology for effecting real change at the individual, team and organizational levels. It is highly effective because it is based on a new practical understanding of the power of language, moods, and conversations for behavioral and cultural change. Newfield believes that ontological coaching supports people to become more powerful observers, capable of being more self-generating as learners to meet the imperative of continually developing more flexible and effective modes of thinking, communicating and behaving for the benefit of themselves and others.
The Newfield Institute- Training Provider

They do this by partnering with individuals and organizations in deep learning, coaching, and leadership.
