Online Coaching Gets Clients Pursuing YOU

.

How to Get Clients to Pursue YOU by Building a Life Coaching Business on The Internet

.

Here’s how I built an internet based life coaching business that’s generating passive revenue for me in about 6 months.

.

Get the Flash Player to see this player.

These strategies are fairly simple, but they will take a bit of time and money. The good news is that marketing your life coaching business on the internet is not complex, in fact because online coaching has become very user friendly, it’s easier to market on the internet now than any other form of marketing.

Online Coaching: What’s so great about marketing your life coaching business on the internet?

.

1. Instant Response (you know if your marketing has worked immediately)
2. Cheap (it’s about 1/3 the cost to market on the internet compared with marketing offline)
3. Easy to learn (no need for technical expertise anymore).
4. Fast learning curve (you can get rolling with your marketing on the internet in about a week, and you can see real $$$ coming into your bank account between 3-6 months)

In this video, I cover:

.

1. The basic concepts of marketing your life coaching business on the internet:

.

  • Permission Marketing
  • Using your coaching content for marketing purposes

2. The 3 steps to get your online coaching started

.

  1. Set up Google Adwords
  2. Set up your coaching ‘squeeze page’
  3. Set up you coaching blog

3. How to convert all those coaching leads you’ll get to life coaching clients!

.

Jeff

.

P.S. After you watch the video, leave me a comment with what you learned as well as any questions you have about the subject. In addition, don’t forget to mention these things in your comment:

.

1. Your goals for your coaching practice/business this year.

.

2. Your biggest challenge standing in the way of your achieving that goal.
.

3. The thing that you would most want from me to help you overcome your challenge and achieve your goal.

..

P.P.S. If you think of anything that should be included in the new Quickstart Coaching Code video home study course focused on new coaches who want to build a profitable coaching practice within a 30 day period, leave it in a comment below.

.

P.P.P.S.  Have you had a chance to watched the video about how to get life coach clients to fall out of the sky?  Go HERE to check out another new life coaching video.

I took an on line life coaching course last year from the Coaches Institute International. Your videos are far more powerful and informative than anything I received from them. I appreciate you sharing you many life coaching tips and experiences. This particular video is straight forward and contains an amazing amount of very helpful information about getting started on the Internet.

    Thanks

    Hi Jeff,
Great stuff. I am a relationship/marriage counselor and would like to understand how to create products to sell on my website. I utilize info. from books that are helpful, but they are not my original info. I want to get creative with my business, right now it seems stagnant and boring. I know it has great potential, but not sure how to get there.
    Thank you,
    Barb, LPC

PS. I don’t mean to say my practice is stagnant and boring, I would like to upgrade my marketing techniques. I love what I do, and I love my clients. I have seen wonderful change and growth in people’s lives.
    Blessings,
    Barb

This is great! I am so pleased you not only told us what to do and what is possible to do but you actually showed us how to do it. Wow!! That is great and I don’t know of anyone else who does that. I am very thankful for that. You mentioned you might answer our questions by email so I have a question that probably wouldn’t apply to everyone so maybe you will answer it via email. I understand that you are a busy man and you are already giving me a lot but nothing ventured nothing gained. Anyway, here is my question. I’m a motivational coach. I love the information you gave on the video but I’m finding it hard to figure out what I should say. You gave great ideas for weight loss coaches. Any tips or ideas what to say for a motivational coach? Thanks for considering helping me with this. Wishing you all the best. Dana

Weight loss is a tangible result. ‘Motivation’ is not, so it’s not as easy to work out your script or marketing copy. Most people don’t want ‘motivation’. They want 1. MORE MONEY 2. MORE/BETTER SEX,LOVE,FRIENDS 3. LONGER LIFE 4. BETTER LOOKING BODY/FACE/ETC.

What is ‘motivational coach’ going to get me that I actually WANT?

Use those words in your marketing, then you can pull the ‘motivation’ thing on them later, once they’re excited.

That was really insightful & in depth..Thanks . Just a question . If I want to be a coach for something that has more intangible benefits such as “achieving goals” , “making a transition” or “handling change” would such a direct selling approach be effective?

    Look forward to a response

    Thank you Jeff..

Yes, the approach will work just as well. Here’s the most important tool you need to make it effective:

The truth is… we all want an ‘intangible benefit’ called feeling a certain way. However, people identify these benefits through tangible icons like a relationship, money, healthy body, business results, etc.

    The point?

You’ll never be able to offer these ‘intangibles’ if you don’t have the skill to translate them into specific, tangible benefits that a certain group is seeking. Once they’re convinced that you can provide that tangible benefit, they’ll be happy to coach with you.

If not, you’ll get no interest at all.

    No one wants coaching.

    Everyone wants RESULTS.

Learn to focus on the results when communicating with your prospects and you’ll have plenty of clients.

Hi Jeff, great video. Learning how to put together an Opt-In page had me really frazzled until I went through your video. My only concern is that I have a web design who created my website, but he recently got really busy and now I find that I am waiting for him to add my opt-in page, etc. I have already created my opt-in page just waiting for him to add it to my website. I guess I can work on creating my autoresponders while I’m waiting. I just wish I didn’t have to waste valuable time waiting on my web guy. He’s great at what he does, I just wish there was a way for me to do this on my own. My website was created in WordPress, so there is a lot of editing that I can do myself, but the critical things are (it appears) code-related and I have no choice but to wait for him to help me. Fantastic video though. Every time I watch one of your videos I feel encouraged and empowered. And I know that I will have income before the end of 2011. IF I follow all that you so graciously share. Thanks so much.

Jeff, you certainly practice what you preach! Valuable, step-by-step, detailed with examples, comparisons, all I need to know to market online successfully. Now to figure out who my market is and what they think they need, lol. Awesome and informative video!
    Thank you!

What tool you used to create online video – your video + presentation/slides combination is really cool.

    Please share the tool/software details.

Alright, Alright, this is good stuff. You are definitely giving away a lot more info than I expected. Just listening to you has helped me figure out why my marketing is not working as well as I thought it would. Keep up the great job – helping people and getting paid for it.

    Hi Jeff,

We spoke briefly earlier, I am 18 years old but would like to embark on a career in coaching. I have a my niche identified in the personal coaching section, but broadly accepting arenas for business and executive coaching.

I would like to start as early as I can on target research, and generally getting to know the coaching craft, I am also very inspired by your videos and would hopefully like to consider your as a prospective coach once I finish coach training (this will hopefully be within the next 3-4years as I am currently at university).

Lastly, do you have any tips to make sure I stay both ahead and on top of my game at an earlier stage? Also when do you think it is right to start learning marketing skills?

I wish you all the continued success in the future,

    Karina

Marketing skills are the third area to master, after coaching skills and sales skills. Without coaching skills, you’ll have nothing to offer your clients. Without sales skills, you’ll never have any paying clients. Both coaching and sales skills are ‘square one’ for a coach.

After mastering those two areas, you can build on those skills to further build your business (marketing skills build very nicely upon sales skills).

There’s no doubt that all three of these skills are of the highest importance in almost any coaching business, but marketing is actually somewhat optional in the first year of a coaching practice. Sales and coaching skills, however, are not optional in that first year.
