Your Life Coaching Business: Is It Worth The Effort?

Life coaching business brings long term security ©search energine people blogThere are times when all of us in the life coaching business wonder, “Is all this work worth it?”  At times it all seems pointless to work so hard, for so little return.  Have you ever added all the hours you’ve worked by the amount of money you’ve made and thought you would do better at a fast food restaurant?  Does the uncertainty in your business cause stress in your life?  Should coaching be your hobby instead of your vocation?

What Certainty Is There In Your Life Coaching Business?

There is no doubt the in the life coaching business you are trading short term certainty for long term security.  In the short term, there is more security in doing stuff for others with a guaranteed paycheck.  In the long term, however, it’ riskier.
The key to having more certainty in your life coaching business is to realize there is more security in doing stuff for yourself than doing stuff well for others.  Have a conversation with yourself, from a security position, and decide why it’s a must now.  Create a sense of urgency and vision that will be compelling enough to help your overcome the obstacles that are bound to show up.

The Paycheck to Paycheck Mentality of the Masses

Sure it’s a steady paycheck, but only for as long as they need you.  It’s actually more uncertain and insecure to work for others.  It’s their whim or the whim of the economy that decides what will eventually happen.
Instead of waiting for your ship to come in, decide that you are going to set a course to achieve your own dreams and sculpt your own destiny.  It’s better to become prepared now, while you have the resources you do.  Whatever they are, it is enough to start taking action now.
