Wellness coaching jobs are everywhere. You probably ran into at least a few wellness coaches in the last six months, and didn’t even know it. In fact the diversity in wellness coaching jobs is so profound, that you could have a team of 20 people and not cover the wide variety of specific descriptions that this wellness coaching industry covers. These jobs are available online, in gyms and therapy centers, and in the public sector as well. The most exciting part for many people is that this industry will get only more lucrative as the baby boomers get older and demand more wellness support, products, and services.
Different Types of Wellness Coaching Jobs
Wellness coaching jobs are divided into health coaching, fitness coaching, image coaching, and mental health coaching. Each of these areas can then be broken down much further into many different industries, solutions, processes, and jobs.
For example, in fitness coaching, there are personal trainers, sports and conditioning specialists, physical therapists, authors and bloggers and information marketers that write on the subject, fitness gurus, and on and on. Each problem, need, and desire that the population has around health demands a wellness coach that will be able to help them specifically.
Where to Find Wellness Coaching Jobs
There are two ways to approach getting a job as a wellness professional: look for employment, and go the ‘self employed’ route. These are as different as night and day.
If you go the employment route, then your coaching will need to fit in with the requirements of your employer, and your freedom and income will be constrained by their requirements. However, they will, most likely, take care of the marketing, sales, and administration for you, so you can just do the health coaching that you love.
If you decide to pursue your wellness coaching job in the self employed route, then you’ll probably have to handle 10 times the tasks and responsibilities that you would if you just had a job. However, you get to set your hours, your agenda, your coaching technique and service, and your income. It’s all up to you.
Places to look for employment would be:
- Government Employment
- Hospitals and Treatment Centers
- Gyms and Fitness / Wellness Centers
- Any Kind of Beauty Center
Places to look for self-employed opportunities would be:
- Network Marketing Opportunities
- Online Marketplaces and Networks
- Your Local Networks (Friends, Family, Business Contacts, And Their Referrals)
- Speaking, Teaching, And Local Workshops
Big Growth in Wellness Coaching

In addition, don’t forget that they’ll still want to look young, even though they are not! These are all huge income opportunities and ways you can coach and serve more people in the world of wellness, beauty, fitness, and mental health. The only limiting factors are your own expertise, motivation, and ability to connect with this growing marketplace. Go ‘out there’ and get a job as a health and wellness coach today!
