Whether or not you like cookies, I just learned some life coaching business lessons from Gail Dosik of OneToughCookie. At the age of 50, she gave up a lucrative career in fashion to pursue her heart’s desire of starting her own decorative cookie business. How many life coaches start out the same way? There were so many parallels between Gail’s story and many coaching success stories I’ve heard that I had to read on.
Gail’s Simple Steps To Success
.
1. She quit her job and enrolled in culinary school.
2. She worked with a few pastry chefs before launching off on her own to get experience.
3. She didn’t let what she couldn’t do stop her from doing what she could do.
4. She works her business on a daily basis according to a plan.
Using Gail’s Steps In Your Life Coaching Business
.
The key to success is a drive to do what you love, pursue your dreams, and risk it all. Although for most people they don’t think about the risk at the time because success is their only option. These crazy entrepreneurs don’t dabble, they dive into their dreams.
Are you putting yourself on the line? Or are you dabbling because when it comes down to it, it’s too scary because you don’t want it bad enough. Gail quit her job at age 50. There was no turning back in her industry. I’m sure she had a financial plan that would see her through the start-up phase, but some part of her must have been a bit uncertain.
Before you embark on your life coaching business journey, make sure you are crystal clear about why you want to take on this challenge so that you don’t have to constantly look back and wonder if you’re doing the right thing.
Give this strategy a try and see for yourself that it works. If you liked this coaching tip, leave a comment or use the handy bookmark buttons below to share it with others on Facebook, Twitter, Digg, etc. Thanks!
