Why do people need your life coaching skills? Do you have anything tangible to offer your success coaching clients? It’s sad to say that most people in the U.S. are not happy. They don’t have the relationships, jobs, lifestyle they want. Whatever happened to the American Dream? Have your life coaching and success coaching clients bought into the lie that the economy is the reason for their lack of success?
Your Life Coaching Clients Must Take Accountability For Their Beliefs
.
Life Success Coaching Lie #1: The reason why your life coaching clients are not successful is not external. It’s not their choice of partner or their pain from a bad relationship. It’s not because of their poor health, the health of the economy, or the health or their mothers in-laws. Lack of success is based on your clients’ beliefs. Beliefs dictate the quality and quantity of action, and action (or lack of) determines results.
Self Talk Will NOT Help Your Life Success Coaching Clients Gain Happiness
.
Life Success Coaching Lie #2: Self talk will not change your life coaching client’s core beliefs. Unfortunately, many people try to change their beliefs through adding positive affirmations to their daily rituals. They cover up their beliefs, instead of dealing with them. Just like covering liver in chocolate sauce will not get kids to eat it, covering up disempowering beliefs will not change your clients’ inner game. You have to do something radical; like wrapping the liver in a napkin and throwing it over the back fence. At least then the neighbor’s dog might eat it and get rid of it permanently.
In Life Coaching, Taking Action Does Not Guarantee Results
.
Life Success Coaching Lie #3: Changing your action doesn’t mean that your life coaching clients will get better results. If you clients believe that they are unworthy for example, they will not consistently take the action needed to succeed. If they don’t believe they can do the job, they will sabotage their efforts. Something will go wrong.
So what can you do to improve your life success coaching client’s chances of reaching their goals? You must transform their core beliefs. Use your life coaching skills to help your clients identify their limiting beliefs, the pay-off they get from operating the way they do, and then help them replace their old beliefs with more empowering ones. Help them see how living the way they have been will lead to their destruction, and that the only way to live the life they want will be to make drastic changes. This is not the easy way, it’s not the fast way, but your client’s lives will never be the same.
