Life Coaching Bedtime Stories: Which of the Three Little Pigs Fits Your Personal Coach Style Best?

February 5th, 2010

If there were such a thing as a life coaching bedtime story, it would have to be the three Little Pigs. Do you know which of the three little pigs’ style best matches your personal coach style?  It would be nice to say that all personal coach styles are created equal.  But let’s face it.  Some life coaching businesses are not strong enough to withstand the Big Bad Wolf.  The Big Bad Wolf is anything or anyone that would destroy you or your life coaching business.

What Kind of Life Coach are You?  Do You Relate to the First Little Pig?

.

Personal Coach Style #1:  The pig that built his life coaching business out of straw.  This coach is up and running very quickly, but his business doesn’t have enough substance to withstand the obstacles that inevitably get in the way of success.  The first minor struggle sends these coaches running; either for a job or a new career entirely.

Is Your Personal Coach Style Akin to the Second Little Pig With His House of Sticks?

.

Personal Coach Style #2:  The pig that built his life coaching business out of sticks.  This coach has invested a little more effort or capital into his business than the first piggy.  Maybe he has some certification or special training, and may do well just on the basis on choosing a great niche.  Sooner or later, the Big Bad Wolf will arrive only to destroy all that he has built.

Or is Your Life Coaching Business Built on a Bricks?

.

Personal Coach Style #3:  The pig that built his life coaching business out of bricks.  This little pig may seem slow to get up and running.  He is building a foundation.  He might even be setting up an internet marketing plan and generating leads on a passive basis.  Eventually he will be able to house the other little pigs who are out on the streets and provide coaching jobs for them.

Which of these personal coach styles most accurately describes you?  How strong is your life coaching business?  Where do you need to invest more of your resources to build a business that will last through the challenges and the Big Bad Wolves?
