The Life Coaching Salary Problems Associated With How to Get Life Coach Clients to Make That Long Term Commitment
.
Your life coaching salary is going to increase by 50% when you use this technique to learn how to get life coach clients to stay around for 6 months minimum. The first element that’s very important is to get your client to agree right up front that they will do 6 months of coaching with you no matter what. In fact, I always tell my clients that we won’t even work with someone that doesn’t commit to 6 month minimum of coaching. Also include a written coaching agreement that they have to sign that has them commit to the 6 month minimum in writing. Those are keys for how to get life coach clients to make that kind of long term coaching agreement with you.
Sometimes clients will resist signing up for coaching with you simply because you expect them to commit to 6 months of coaching minimum. This is totally understandable, but hard to focus on when you’re thinking about your life coaching salary. They don’t want to get stuck in an agreement that they can’t afford or get stuck with something they don’t want to do any more.
How to Get Life Coach Clients to Commit To 6 Months of Coaching or More
.
Here is a key for how to get life coach clients to make that 6-month commitment when your client objects to it. Just tell them this:
“Look, I understand if you are concerned whether or not you’ll be able to afford this for a whole 6 months, but I’m your coach. I care about your results and if you are broke and can’t make ends meet, we are not going to go repossess your house because you’re not paying your coaching fees. That’s just not going to happen. I’m not saying that you won’t owe us the money, and I’m not saying that I won’t expect you to follow through on your commitment to coaching for that 6-month period of time. But if you are in dire financial situations, I won’t be another negative for you. As a coach my commitment is to be a positive force in your life. This commitment you’re making to 6 months of coaching is a positive commitment, not some financial obligation, so don’t think of it that way.”
“It is true that the financial and time commitments are going to put some pressure on you, but that’s the point. That pressure is a good thing because, frankly, if we don’t put that kind of pressure on you – if you don’t make a LONG TERM commitment to your positive future – then this whole coaching thing is a waste of time for you and you should just resign yourself to living the same life you’ve been living. But I know you’re committed to more than that for yourself, and that’s why this commitment is something that I demand of you (and you should demand of yourself). I already make a good life coaching salary. This commitment isn’t for me. It’s for you.”
