Life Coaching Business Lessons: A Twist On ‘The Tortoise And The Hare’

‘The Tortoise And The Hare': Life Coaching Business There are two types of life coaching business owners. One is like the tortoise in the classic children’s story, “The Tortoise and The Hare.” The other like The Tortoise. Both styles have strengths and weaknesses, but what if the two worked together to build a business even greater than they could individually?

3 Keys To A Winning Combination In Your Life Coaching Business

1. Identify your own strengths. Do you tend to plod along slowly and deliberately, planning ahead…or do you wait until the last minute. The Tortoise would have trouble jumping quickly and wholeheartedly into a last minute project that comes up, while The Hare would jump at the chance.
2. Some terrain is more suitable for The Tortoise than others. Steep inclines, rocks, and other obstacles are all but impossible for The Tortoise, but can be maneuvered quite easily by the hare. For example, The Tortoise’s style might be better suited for long term marketing projects such as internet marketing strategies. The Hare, who doesn’t hide in a shell when nervous, might prefer to do some public speaking and play up the fact that he’s cute.
3. In the original story, if The Hare would have woken up just a moment earlier, the outcome would have been entirely different. You just can’t leave some things to chance in your life coaching business

The Moral Of The Story

The moral of the story is that if you want to create a successful life coaching business, you’ll need to create a team first. As my mentor says, you need to create a team before you can implement your plan. Whether you work with a partner or outsource your weaknesses, it’s important to know that your success depends on focusing on what you are truly great at doing. You can’t have it all by doing it all.
