There are plenty of life coaching business lessons that can be gleaned from the story of “The 3 Little Pigs.” These little pigs represent three different styles of coaching business owners; one that puts almost no effort at all into his business, one that puts some effort into his business but then leaves to go play, and then the third that has a longer term visions of what he wants to create in his life. The Big Bad Wolf is of course the economic winter that attempts to blow down each of the businesses.
Which Of The 3 Little Pigs Are You?
.
The first little pig built his house of straw. He doesn’t invest in materials and builds something quickly, without any thought. The second little pig builds his house of sticks, which provide a little bit more stability, but his building is also not particularly strong. Both of these pigs have a get rich quick mentality. They aren’t willing to put in the work they need to make their life coaching business financially stable. They would rather go off and play than create something of value.
The Little Pig Who Builds His Life Coaching Business From Bricks
.
Bricks are fairly expensive, and you won’t find them lying around in the woods. The third little pig had to leave the security of his usual environment, and travel into town. He began building his home brick by brick, slowly and carefully. The other little pigs came by and asked him if he wanted to play, but he declined because he knew what he had to do. He didn’t let their taunting stop him. Of course when the Big Bad Wolf came he graciously provided shelter for them.
In fact, if you build your life coaching business the way the third little pig did you will do more than just survive the economic storms. You will be able to provide jobs for the other little coaches who don’t have the vision or drive that you do. In the long term, you and those who join your business will live happily ever after.
