Health Coaching Champions: What is Possible?

Health coaching can get clients to change their diet ©D Sharon PruittWhat can health coaching accomplish?  If Frank from the movie, “May I Be Frank” is any type of example, the sky is the limit.  What he did is outlined in his blog http://mayibefrankferrante.com , but from a coaching perspective what did he do to change in health in 42 days?

5 Keys to Health Coaching Success

1.  He had a strong reason why he wanted to change.  He wanted to fall in love one more time before he died, but didn’t believe anyone would fall in love with him the way he was.  In order to make a change a person needs enough leverage to stay motivated despite obstacles.  Massive pain if you don’t change and the promise of massive pleasure if you do.
2.  He took massive action on a daily basis.  He completely changed his diet to a purely raw food diet, drank a gallon of water daily, and walked 15 minutes a day.
3.  He surrounded himself with an empowering peer group, which included health care professionals.  He also has a blog which is another aspect of his empowering peer group.
4.  He worked on his inner game.  He began transforming who he was before he saw external results.  He started being grateful even before he saw results.
5.   He had a coach.  Actually he had 3.  These people were totally committed to his success.

It’s Not What You Achieve; It’s Who You Become In The Process

This is the recipe for success, not just in health coaching, but in any area where people are looking for transformation.    And as they say, it’s Be, Do, and then Have.  Frank has given all of us inspiration by making a commitment to make changes in his life, playing full out, and sharing his story with the world.
